Autumn Term 2020 Attendance Summary
Attendance for Autumn 2019 and Spring 2020 Combined
Four Year Attendance Data Trend
At Northcote Primary School, attendance is always high on our agenda! We want to ensure that all children are in receipt of the fantastic curriculum on offer at Northcote, but for this to be effective children must attend regularly. We have a four year improving trend with regards to attendance, let’s keep this up as we aim for 97% whole school attendance!
The documents below give further details about this, but we try (when possible) to use positive strategies to encourage attendance. Some examples of these are a weekly attendance raffle, daily walking bus, weekly attendance awards in assembly (including a treat box for whole class achievements), termly attendance afternoons for children who achieve 100% attendance over a term and a fantastic end of year 99-100% attendance raffle. Well done to all of our wonderful families for helping us to continue to promote attendance and thank you to those parents who attend our Parent Consultation Meetings.

Information for visitors
In conjunction with Merseyside Police, Northcote School is involved in an initiative called Operation Encompass. The purpose of Operation Encompass is to safeguard and support children and young people who have been involved in, heard or witnessed a domestic abuse incident. Following such an incident, children may arrive at school distressed, upset, worried and unprepared. Operation Encompass aims to ensure that appropriate school staff on the Safeguarding Team are made aware early enough to support children and young people in a way that means they feel safe and included.
At Northcote our Key Adults are Mrs Monks (Safeguarding Lead), Mrs Morris (Pastoral Officer), Miss Gore (Deputy Headteacher), Mrs Foden (Deputy Headteacher) & Mr Morgan (Headteacher)
This is a valuable initiative that means we can continue to support and help children and families within our school community when they need it the most.
You can find out more by visiting www.operationencompass.org or by contacting any member of the above Safeguarding Team.
